Tsingtao in Rumbek

In case you're wondering, this is not September's delivery from the beer of the month club! My friend Zhu Wei Jie is a UN peacekeeper with the Chinese army in Wau, he's visiting Rumbek this week and I went to see him yesterday. He surprised me by bringing out some Tsingtao! I would have never expected to have Chinese beer in Sudan of all places, but Sudan continues to amaze me day after day. Considering there are about 350 Chinese UN peacekeepers in Wau (mostly doctors and engineers, Zhu is a neurosurgeon), it only makes sense they would bring their beer! 干杯 <-- Cheers in Chinese (Gan Bei!)
